Fixed appliances solve functional issues, allowing teeth to move more precisely into their optimal position.

Once the diagnosis is complete, we present the patient with a treatment plan and position fixed braces, which need to be adjusted during subsequent appointments every 4-8 weeks throughout the therapy. At Ortho-Smile, we use the smallest and most effective brackets available in the market. More and more patients are choosing aesthetic brackets because they are less visible than metal brackets.

After the active phase of the therapy, patients receive a retainer, either a mobile bite or a fixed steel wire. The retainer is customized to fit the well-aligned teeth to maintain the position achieved and prevent the teeth from returning to their previous position, once the fixed dental appliance or invisible Invisalign is removed. Retainers are given to ensure long-lasting results.
